Partially recorded in Hollywood, CA With Victor Feldman (piano) and Frank Butler (Drums) and a few more tracks recorded in New York (With Herbie Hancock and Tony Williams, respectively, replacing the aforementioned two) this 6 song record shows off the exemplary talent off all musicians, but especially the creative genius accompaniment that comes from Mr. Ron Carter. A studious bassist can learn much in the ways of creativity on a monotone A section (Joshua) or the groove and feel of 12/8 rhythms (So near, so far). Lest we forget the ballad stylings that make up half the album and show off fantastic double-time feel bass playing. There are no solos on the record from Mr. Carter, but the supporting lines alone make for required study for all serious jazz bassists.

Some other recordings with musicians that I was lucky enough to record with over the years.
